2024 Fossil Day

Save the date and join us for Fossil Day on October 19, 2024 from 10a-2p
Location is the temporary Ladonia Fossil Park, 2.8 miles north of Ladonia on FM 2990 at the North Sulphur River.

Come spend the day with us! We are changing our typical event into an informal Meet and Greet. We will have food vendors available, a shaded area where you can have your fossils identified, browse local and fossil information.

Bring your own lawn chairs and money to buy lunch from one of our local vendors who will be set up at the park.

There will be experienced fossil hunters available to answer questions and ID your finds so if you have been hunting that day, someone will be here to help you. Also if you have finds from previous hunts and you want to show them off or bring to have identified, that’s good too.

We will have some books, Fossil Park patches, cups and shirts available.

Port o potties will be provided by the City of Ladonia for this event.
Please be mindful of social distancing, hand sanitizing, etc.

Note - (do not go to the old park on Hwy 34)
